Photography can be a cathartic process. Being witnessed in our humanity, our messiness, our wildness of emotion is a gift that can expose us and help us feel seen in a safe space. This work of mine is not polished but rather raw and expressive, it is an opportunity to open up and reveal parts of ourselves that are often hidden.

A main focus of my photography is that of intimate connection. This is for anyone who is interested in exploring themselves vulnerably, connecting with themselves or a partner in a private and sensual way. This intimate space highlights the tension of softness and power. I make sure to create a safe, comfortable and respectful environment for these shoots as they are collaborations that require trust.

emotion on film

I shoot intentionally. I want to get to know my subject and create a relationship so that the experience is more of a collaboration. Learning with a film camera taught me that this was most crucial to the process. It allows me to slow down and be truly present with each subject/client. Even when shooting digital, I utilize this skill of presence and patience.
